A Review on the Effect of Mechanical Properties and Durability of Concrete with Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) and Fly Ash in the Production of New Cement Concrete

The search for new alternative materials employment in the construction industry is necessary more sustainable development. demolition waste (CDW), as well by-products generated by initiatives, such slag, fly ash (FA), palm oil fuel (POFA), metakaolin (MK), silica fume (SF), and rice husk (RHA), are objects of studies several segments civil sector. addition these wastes to currently used produce concrete mortar can be one significant efforts achieve construction. use sector bring considerable benefits terms costs, energy efficiency, environmental ecological benefits. Over years, many types research have been developed aiming at possibility a practical CDW an aggregate industrial by-product (FA, POFA, MK, SF, RHA) pozzolans. Based on recent studies, this paper reviews current state knowledge about production with partial replacement natural aggregates recycled from (FA) pozzolan Portland cement. This work discussed following properties: compressive strength, water absorption, chloride penetration, carbonation, modulus elasticity.
